Wedding Sneak Peek: Christina and Sean

This past Saturday, I spent the morning capturing Christina’s and Sean’s wedding at White Point Gardens near the Battery. Surrounded by their parents, the couple wed in an intimate ceremony in the gazebo before walking around the historic Downtown Charleston streets for portraits. Below are a few of my favorites photographs from their wedding. Congratulations to Christina and Sean and I hope they have a lovely reception this weekend with friends and family!

Wedding Sneak Peek: Cheryl and Bob

This past Friday, Cheryl and Bob traveled to Charleston to have an intimate wedding at the Wentworth Mansion. They married on the rooftop cupola with the historic Holy City scape in the background before riding away in a horse and carriage to spend the evening celebrating their love and union. Congratulations to them both! Below are some of my favorite photographs from their wedding.

Kristina and Nick had their spring wedding in Walkersville, MD. After marrying at Faith Reformed Baptist Church, the couple celebrated with close friends and family at Walker’s Overlook. This historic farm turned event venue offered a country landscape with touches of a rustic barn and classic Ford car. Along with this picturesque homestead, Kristina and Nick incorporated personal touches such as featuring couple photos of their parents and grandparents, homemade favors for guests, and a ’57 Chevy passed down in Nick’s family.

Engagement Session: Brooke + Matt

Spring has invaded Charleston with day time temperatures in the 80s and blossoming pink and white Azaleas. This Sunday afternoon engagement session took place at White Point Garden on the Battery and around historic Downtown Charleston. Brooke and Matt also brought along their lovable dogs to be a part of their portraits. These images are just a few of my favorites from their e-session.

Wedding Sneak Peek: Amanda + Nick

Amanda’s and Nick’s wedding was held the last Saturday in March. Their spring soiree was inspired by the Victorian era. Using a soft, ethereal color palette, shades of rose, grapefruit, saffron and blue were seen in table linens, floral arrangements, and teacup center pieces. This romantic coloring was paired with hints of rustic country influences by using roasted expresso brown and the ladies donning cowboy boots. The couple married at the chapel on the Charleston Air Force Base before riding a party bus to downtown for portraits at Hampton Park and Historic Charleston. The reception was held at Marion’s in the French Quarter where the bridal party celebrated with friends and family into the night. Congratulations to Amanda and Nick!

Engagement Portraits: Colleen + Tony

For Colleen’s and Tony’s engagement portraits, we ventured a little outside of Charleston to Moncks Corner, SC. Spring weather had arrived with a sunny day in the 70s and a fresh coat of pollen in the air. We started at Mepkin Abbey before returning to the dock where Tony proposed to Colleen. We ended the session with the remains of a historic brick building nearby. What made this e-session great was Colleen’s and Tony’s lightheartedness and embracing a little adventure during the shoot. Below are some selects of the day. I look forward to capturing their wedding in the late fall at the Pavilion at Pepper Plantation!

Amanda’s and Nick’s engagement session took place in early December at Boone Hall Plantation. This classic Southern yet rustic location was further accented by Amanda’s pairing of cowboy boots with a white spring-like dress. The session also had some special guests – a gentle, white horse walked over to them and the couple also included their lovable pup, Indiana, in some of the engagement portraits. Meg + Justin summer wedding at Heritage Plantation on Pawleys Island was published on the WeddingChannel! This Southern wedding had wonderful personal touches such as incorporating Meg’s profession as an elementary school teacher by having wedding themed coloring books and crayons. The couple opted for an outdoor ceremony by the water before getting down with friends and family…and wedding crasher, Cocky, the USC mascot. The night was topped off with an array of cupcakes and wish lanterns.

The Knot’s WeddingChannel has featured Meg + Justin Heritage Plantation wedding as their wedding of the day.
